Through the looking glass

In an exhibition in Paris at the George Pompidou Centre there was an installation called Le Regard. It featured a comfortable Parisian bedroom with two windows. Through one window was a street on the French boulevard and through the other was a street in Bombay. These two worlds are indifferent to each other but a sneak preview is offered from Paris. The challenge is; have we stayed behind the curtain too long?
When Jesus died the curtain of the temple was torn in two, and we have a clear view now of a world that God cares intimately about. There is no indifference with God who mission is to heal the heart of the world. The resurrection of Jesus challenges us to live beyond the window’s reflection, knowing that the pain, destruction and fear we see and sometimes experience,we do not need to be swallowed up by because Jesus is alive nd lives to make intercession for us.
God doesn’t accept the riot the world finds itself in, yet He waits for us to respond so that through us His hand of love can be displayed. We need to expect miracles as we pray for each other, our towns and our Cities. The reality is we are hand in hand with the kindness of the creator of the universe, we can pray through and beyond the looking glass, calling into being all that is not. Never give up!
